Ndutu forms part of the route for the annual migration of more than 2 million wildebeest and thousands of zebra, antelope, and gazelle. During game drives in the right season (between December and April), we will be able to see the fertile plains turn into calving and nursery grounds for the great migration. Day 4: Ngorongoro crater tour (Ngorongoro to Arusha)

The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of about 260 sq. km with a depth of over 2,000 feet. The 5/6-hour game drive on the crater floor will show us a lot of animal action. Keeping the camera ready is definitely recommended. Animals like the African elephant, buffalo, black rhino, hippo, hyena, cheetah, and lion are found in abundance. After the picnic lunch at the beautiful hippo pool, we will begin a steep ascent to the top exit of the crater. This is the last leg of your safari, with a 4-hour drive left to Arusha.
